WATERLOO (KWWL) -- Joe Cassetti notched a hat trick as the Waterloo Black Hawks pulled away late for a 7-3 win on Tuesday night. The win marked the fifth straight for the Black Hawks.

Waterloo built a 2-0 lead on a second period score as Ryan Drkulec wrapped around the net and found Connor Caponi wide open in front of the goal for a score. Minutes later Drkulec redirected a hard shot by Brehden Engum for a 3-0 advantage.

The Black Hawks suffered a bit of a lapse for the next 10 minutes as the Capitols scored three unanswered goals and tied the game 3-3 early in the third period.

Cassetti, however, scored two of his three goals in the final period as the Black Hawks finished with four unanswered to put away the win.
