Iowa City man claims lottery prize of $25,000 a year for life

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) — An Iowa City man on Thursday claimed a prize of $25,000 a year for life he won with a lottery ticket.

Joseph White, 75, won the Lucky for Life lottery game, his ticket matching the first five numbers but missing the Lucky Ball in Monday night's drawing.

White chose to receive his prize as the lump-sum option, which was $390,000.

White is Iowa’s sixth big winner in the Lucky for Life game since its 2016 debut in the state.

Lucky for Life is a $2 game with drawings twice a week, at 9:38 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays.
