Plenty of sunshine is expected this morning, with a few more clouds moving in this afternoon. High temperatures will be in the 40s and 50s with a south/southwest wind.
A cold front will track through eastern Iowa tonight, bringing a north wind 10-15 mph. This will also bring in cooler temperatures for Friday. Highs will be fairly seasonable in the 30s.
Saturday will be a bit breezy, but it will be a southerly breeze so it will usher in milder temperatures for the weekend. The dry stretch of weather continues.
Changes move in beginning Monday. A powerful arctic cold front will moves through the upper Midwest. And area of low pressure will develop along it, bringing a slight chance for a few snow showers.
The bigger story will be the gusty northwesterly winds ushering in cold air Tuesday into Wednesday.
Wind chills will likely be near or below zero during this period.
