Iowa’s Duncan named Groza finalist

IOWA CITY (KWWL) — Iowa kicker Keith Duncan has been named one of three finalists for the Lou Groza Award. The award is given annually to the top collegiate kicker in the country. Former Hawkeye Nate Kaeding won the award in 2002.

Duncan currently ranks number one in field goals made this season. His 27 successful kicks set the record for most in both Iowa and Big Ten history. He sits just four shy of the all-time Division I record of 31.

The junior was also named the Big Ten special teams player of the week after kicking four field goals in Iowa’s win over Illinois.

The winner of the 2019 Lou Groza Award will be announced on December 12.
