Iowa City home invasion leaves one injured

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) – One person was injured during a home invasion Sunday evening.

Iowa City Police responded to 2106 Taylor Drive just before 6 p.m. Police said the victim reported five black men, some armed with handguns, broke into her home.

One of the men is said have worn a black and green camouflage hooded sweatshirt and another was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red bandanna around the face. Those are the only two descriptions offered by police.

The victim was allegedly hit by one of the men and required medical attention for a laceration.

Police said the men left in a dark SUV.
