Burger King robbed in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) – Police say a man robbed an Iowa City Burger King early Sunday.

It happened at the Boyrum Street location at around 5:08 a.m. Police say a lone subject entered the business displaying a handgun and stole an undisclosed amount of money. He fled the scene in an unknown direction. Authorities describe the suspect as a black male wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact police. Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward up to $1000 for information that leads to an arrest.
