WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) – The new owners of the former Ramada Hotel in Waterloo are taking the first steps in redeveloping the property.
Makanda LLC, who now own the property, are liquidating almost everything within the hotel before they begin remodeling the interior in early December. The group acknowledges that the property has had a rocky past.
“We know who we are, and we’re not asking anyone to blind trust us, but just give us an opportunity for us to prove that we’re going to turn this hotel into what it should be and what it should have been for quite some time,” said Kayleen Leonard, the Director of Sales and Marketing for the hotel.
The plan is to transform the Ramada into a Best Western Plus and Executive Residency.
The sale ends Saturday at 8 PM.
