IOWA CITY, Iowa (KWWL) – The Iowa City Police has reported that a 7-year-old has been hit by a car. Officers responded to 1454 Aber Ave. at 5:08 this evening for a vehicle striking a 7-year-old child and leaving the scene. The child was sent to the University of Iowa Hospital with minor injuries.
The vehicle was described as a black sedan with two yellow triangular flags with black lettering attached to the doors. The vehicle continued east on Aber Ave. and went in an unknown direction on Sunset St.
Iowa City Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the vehicle and driver involved in this incident. Iowa City Area Crime Stoppers is also offering up to a $1,000 reward for information about this incident that leads to an arrest.
