Bridging the gap

(NBC)–A new study shows more women are pursuing careers in technology.  According to a new study from an Early Career Network, more women are applying for tech jobs despite it being a male-dominated field.

This is becoming apparent as IT careers are becoming more available in industries such as: finance, education and even fashion.

The study cited, Cisco, Wayfair and Microsoft among the companies attracting the highest percentage of women.

The Iowa Tech Chicks provide free computer science education for sixth grade girls at Kirkwood Elementary School in Coralville.
