Top ranked Western Dubuque rolls past Washington 42-10

EPWORTH (KWWL) — Western Dubuque’s defense reigned over the day. The top ranked Bobcats held class 3A’s top scoring offense out of the endzone for all but the final 30 seconds as they rolled past Washington 42-10.

The running game controlled things for the Bobcats as they found the endzone three times in the first half. Calvin Harris rolled in from the 12 yard line for a 7-0 lead after one quarter. Ben Bryant added the second score of the game on a six yard run, while Harris got another before half for a 21-3 lead.

The second half looked like a carbon copy as Harris again found the endzone twice and Bryant once for a 42-3 edge before the Demons finally found the endzone in the final minute.

Western Dubuque will host North Scott in the class 3A quarterfinals.
