Does a snowy October mean a snowy winter?

After the October we just had, a lot of people will ask: is a snowy October just the start to what will be a very snowy winter overall? The answer is no! In fact for the 10 ten snowiest Octobers for Waterloo, Dubuque, and Cedar Rapids we did not round out the rest of the season higher than 15th place overall. Here are the numbers below:
