The sky remains clear most of the night as temperatures drop into the low 20s. Where there was less than 1″ of snow today. Areas with more than 1″ of snow today will drop into the teens.  Clouds move in from the northwest late in the night and by morning we are back to a mostly cloudy to cloudy sky.

Friday is cloudy with temperatures warming into the upper 30s. There is a chance for a few light rain and or snow showers across eastern Iowa…mainly in the afternoon and evening. Little to no travel impacts are expected.

The weekend is dry but with cooler than normal temperatures. Clouds will clear Saturday and then move back into the area Sunday. Highs Saturday will be in the upper 30s with highs in the mid 40s for Sunday.

Don’t look for any warm weather any time soon. The 8-14 day outlook shows a good chance the temperatures will be below normal. Normal high temperatures during that week are in the upper 40s. Below normal precipitation is likely.
