Gladbrook-Reinbeck blows out AGWSR, wins district 5 title

GLADBROOK, Iowa– In 8 man football, district 5, Gladbroo-Reinbeck would play host to AGWSR in a battle for the district title.

Both teams entering this game undefeated in district play, meaning someone’s 0 has to go. Both teams with blow-out wins coming into this contest.

A clear night out, but the wind was in full force. Midway through the first quarter, no score, but the rebels would strike first. Eli Thede taking the ball around the edge, picking up a heck of a block and would stroll into the endzone. Rebels lead 8-0.

Jumping ahead to the second quarter, same score, and just watch the finish of this run. Keagan Geisking would truck through two defenders, extending the lead to 14-0.

Skipping ahead to the 3rd quarter, when Keagan Geisking is at it again, this time flying up the far sideline. Rebels rolling.

Later in the quarter, and Keagan Geisking does explodes through the gap, and scampers down field to get the rebels in scoring position.

Geisking would reign supreme tonight, finishing off the drive with a touchdown run a couple plays later.

The Rebels would keep the shut-out, winning by a score of 40-0

They finish the season as District 5 champions, and are playoff bound.
