Temperatures will drop this evening into the upper 30s and low 40s and remain there overnight and through Saturday. A few showers are possible tonight as the cold front moves through.
The wind will switch to the west with gusts to 30 mph. The wind is strong Saturday with gusts to 40 mph from the west. Combine that with temperatures near 40 degrees and that will put wind chills in the low 30s.
A FREEZE WATCH is in effect for Friday night/Saturday morning with the potential for temperatures to drop into the upper 20s. If you typically cover your plants from early freeze you might not be able to do that Friday night because it will be windy and blow the sheet or news paper off the plants.
Saturday is mostly cloudy with temperatures only warming into the mid 40s with wind gusts to 40 mph from the west. The wind gradually diminishes Saturday night. Low temperatures are forecast to be in the low 30s Sunday and Monday morning with the potential for a frost.
Temperatures warm back into the low 50s next week. Normal highs are mid 60s for this time of year.
