HAPPENING THURSDAY: Governor Kim Reynolds visiting Waterloo Career Center

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) – Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds is going to the Waterloo Career Center on Thursday.

The district is having a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially recognize the $17 million dollar renovation project.

The facility is housed in the north end of Central Middle School.

The ceremony begins at 3:45 p.m. After, there will be time for tours.

The Waterloo Career Center offers 14 career pathways for high school students to take. They’re able to get hands-on, real-world instruction. They also have certification, college credit and apprenticeship opportunities.
