Waterloo class to teach about homeownership

It’s one of the most important purchases you will ever make. Waterloo is offering a class to help people interested in buying a home.

The Waterloo Housing Authority says this is geared toward lower-income families. The class goes over everything from money management and understanding credit, to affordability and mortgage.

Those who complete this class will get a certificate that makes them eligible for down payment assistance. The class is offered four times a year. Registration for this class starts tomorrow, October 1st.

It costs 20 dollars and you can register at the Waterloo Housing Authority. You will need proof of household income. The class starts October 22nd. It will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Waterloo Center for the Arts.
