Voters approve West Branch School District’s $19.5M bond issue

CEDAR COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) – Third time’s a charm.  Voters have approved a $19.5M bond issue for the West Branch School District to improve facilities, in a third try.  It will improve the high school and create space to move middle school students into the high school.  The addition will also include 14 new classrooms.

Voters approved the bond issue with 63.23% voting yes.  The bond tax levy increase passed with 62% approval. Both needed 60% to pass.

The third issue was the revenue purpose statement which received the highest approval with 66.1% voting yes.  This issue needed 50% to pass.
