UNI alum Brittni Donaldson named Raptors’ assistant coach

TORONTO (KWWL) — The Toronto Raptors’ bench added even more Northern Iowa flavor as UNI alum and head coach Nick Nurse named Brittni Donaldson as an assistant. Donaldson, who played for the Panther women’s team until 2015, had been working as a data analyst in the team’s front office.

The promotion makes her just the 10th female assistant coach in league history. She’s also the youngest at the age of 26.

The Sioux City native was a two-year starter for the Panthers and holds the UNI record for three-pointers made in a game with eight.
