TRACKING: Showers this evening; Warmer Sunday

Light rain showers will continue to track through eastern Iowa during the evening hours. Temperatures overnight will drop into the 50s, and with a light E/SE wind, there is the potential for patchy fog to develop.

Sunday is shaping up to be warmer and a little more humid. High temperatures are forecast to be in the middle 70s to near 80°. The sky will be partly sunny. Dew points will be in the lower 60s tomorrow, with middle and upper 60s by Labor Day and Tuesday.

Speaking of Labor Day, the morning hours will be dry with humid conditions. There is the potential for storms to track through the area by the afternoon and evening hours. There is still some uncertainty on where/when they will develop to our north. Stay tuned for updates.

A cold front tracks through Tuesday, bringing another chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially in northern Iowa.

Behind the cold front, it will be cooler and less humid.
