TRACKING: Gloomy Saturday with isolated showers, warming up Sunday

We are kicking off the college football season underneath cloudy skies and cool weather. For the Panthers vs. Cyclones we have an 11 AM kick off with a temperature around 69° degrees. Rain should mainly miss Ames. For Iowa, there will be a chance for light showers and a temperature of 68° for the kickoff at 6:30 PM.

If you are tailgating at home today, don’t expect to see much sunshine and maybe grab a sweatshirt with highs in the middle 60’s to the low 70’s.

Isolated light showers will be in and out today and tonight with the best chance around midnight.

Lows tonight will drop to the mid to upper 50’s with mostly cloudy skies.

Sunday should remain dry without much sun thanks to partly sunny skies. Highs will be a bit warmer and conditions a little more humid with highs in the middle to upper 70’s.

The warm air continues to build into the workweek including the return of very humid air.

That humid air will accompany highs in the middle 80’s and a storm chance on Monday.

Warm, breezy, and humid conditions will stick round for Tuesday with a storm chance. After that, sunshine pushes back in with highs back to the 70’s into the end of the week.
