Plane makes emergency landing in Linn County, no one hurt

The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says a plane made an emergency landing in Linn County yesterday at 2:31 p.m.

They say the plane landed in an area off of Martin Creek Road one mile east of Highway 13. No one was injured in the incident.

Deputies used a drone today to find the aircraft in a cornfield. Pilot Bonnie Roth and student Steph Draher were in the plane. Both were able to walk away from the emergency landing.

The incident is under investigation by the FAA and the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
