Tate’s Army Foundation lawnmower safety fundraiser this Friday afternoon, July 26, in Waverly

In an instant on the evening of August 30, 2017, life as they knew it, changed for the Manahl family of Cedar Falls.

Their 3-year old son, Tate, got caught under the family’s riding lawn mower and suffered severe injuries which would require more than 30 surgeries. Tate is now 5 and doing very well, though he made need additional surgeries down the road.

The family has established a new foundation:  Tate’s Army Foundation.

A major Tate’s Army Foundation lawnmower safety awareness fundraiser is coming up this Friday, July 26, at the Prairie Links Golf Course, 19 Eagle Ridge Dr, Waverly.

This family-friendly event will feature a host of activities for families and children, while the golf event is underway on the Prairie Links course Friday afternoon at 2 pm.

His parents, Fonda and Ryan Manahl, recently talked about Tate’s accident and the amazing community support they have received on The Steele Report. Here is that program..
