WAVERLY, Iowa – A woman found an albino bat on her front door in Waverly. She says it was hanging on the screen outside her door, so she called the Black Hawk Wildlife Rehabilitation Project for help.
They are now taking care of the bat and say it is young, dehydrated and thin. This is a rare sight in the Cedar Valley.
Black Hawk Wildlife Rehabilitation says right now they’re working to stabilize the bat and hope to release it back to the wild if they can. They’re also hoping to learn more about the bat.
