The Cherry Hill Aquatic Center is closed Monday due to water quality issues

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL)– According to the Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Facebook page, a person diagnosed with cryptosporidium used the pool at Cherry Hill Aquatic Center last week.

The parasite can cause diarrhea if swallowed. It can be found in untreated water.

The Cherry Hill Center says it was closed as a precaution to “Hyper-Chlorinate” the water.

It is scheduled to open Tuesday, July 16th.
