It is looking like it will be another very warm day as highs will climb to the lower 90’s for most and into the upper 80’s for our far northern counties. Mix in some uncomfortable humidity and the heat index will range from about 95 to 100 degrees.
Skies look to remain partly cloudy today but with the high heat we have a slight chance of a storm bubbling up in the afternoon. Any storms that do develop will last for a short time and will stay below severe criteria.
Winds will be in from the south at 5 to 10 mph for both today and tonight meaning we remain warm with lows near 70 degrees and humid conditions.
Partly cloudy skies will stretch from tonight into Monday where we will see very similar temperatures and humidity. Winds will pick up a bit from the south southwest at 10 to 20 mph. A slight dip in temperatures and humidity on Tuesday will drop our heat index values to around the middle 90’s but it won’t be much relief.
Temperatures look to heat back up Wednesday and Thursday as we could be approaching heat advisory levels with a heat index around 105 degrees. A few rain chances will show back up from Tuesday night into Thursday morning.
