Former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher diagnosed with pancreatic cancer

ESPN – Hall of Fame right-hander Bob Gibson says he is battling pancreatic cancer.

That’s according to ESPN.

According to Gibson’s agent, the former St. Louis Cardinals player was diagnosed with cancer several weeks ago.

Gibson, considered one of the greatest pitchers of all time, spent his entire career with the Cardinals, winning 251 games over 17 seasons. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1981.
