Dubuque Regional Humane Society receives Samoyed dogs rescued from puppy mill

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) — The shelter received the five dogs last week from the ASPCA.

The dogs were among the 150 rescued by the ASPCA in Worth County, Iowa back in November. The dogs were recovered from a commercial breeding facility commonly referred to as a “puppy mill”.

Shelter Manager, Amanda Shaffer says the Dubuque Humane Society is happy to be a part of the rescue.

“The dogs have already been receiving extra help in overcoming fearful behavior involving new environments and new people.”

The DRHS previously received four other dogs from this same rescue.

The dogs have all already found new homes.
