It has been a beautiful afternoon with full sunshine and temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s in eastern Iowa. Temperatures are a little warmer in western Iowa.
The sky remains clear through the evening. Clouds slowly increasing late tonight. Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer than Thursday morning with lows in the 50s.
More clouds than sunshine is expected Friday as the wind increases from the southwest. The highest wind gusts will be during the afternoon and will be generally around 30 mph.
Clouds continue to increase Friday night with a chance for a few light showers overnight and into Saturday morning. Showers and a few storms are possible Saturday afternoon and night. Rain chances will end before sunrise Sunday. Rain amounts will be less than 1”
Sunday through Tuesday will be dry with highs in the upper 70s. Showers/storms are back in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday.
