CORALVILLE, Iowa (KWWL) – A 14-year-old girl is charged for having drug paraphernalia following a near-drowning incident at the Coralville Reservoir.
According to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, conservation officers responded to the reservoir Saturday around 4:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they found about 15 teenagers, one of whom had been rescued after jumping into the water and nearly drowning.
People on a boat nearby saw a male who was struggling to stay above water and stopped to rescue him.
The girl was arrested by a conservation officer when the officer found the drug paraphernalia.
