Black Hawks hammer Sioux Falls 6-0 to even series

WATERLOO (KWWL) — Evan Fear stopped everything that came his way as the Waterloo Black Hawks shook off a game one loss and took down Sioux Falls 6-0 to even the series at a game apiece.

A chippy affair that saw 58 penalty minutes handed out belonged to Waterloo from the get-go. Matt Cameron and Hank Sorensen each scored in the opening period to get things rolling. Brehden Engum added a laser shot from near the blue line for a 3-0 second period lead. Matej Blumel scored twice while Teddy Lagerback added some insurance in the final period to send the series back to Sioux Falls tied 1-1.

Fear, meanwhile, picked up the win stopping 26 Stampede shots.

Game three gets underway on Tuesday as the series moves to South Dakota.
