Spring Snow

I thought I would take a look at where there is snow on the ground the night before a large storm is forecast to bring widespread heavy snow from Colorado to Wisconsin. Here is a look at where snow is on the ground Tuesday morning. It will be interesting to look at this map Friday morning.

The map shows the snow depth on this date last year

We are tracking a large storm forecast to move across Iowa. Areas northwest of the track will produce heavy snow and strong wind causing blizzard conditions. The map, below on the right, shows the chance of 12″ of snow or more.

This rain/snow to our north will impact the Mississippi River. It will remain high and might actually go up depending on where the heavy rain/snow finally falls.Click here for the latest river forecast.
