Two houses hit in Cedar Rapids shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) — Police are searching for the person or people responsible for firing shots in a Cedar Rapids neighborhood Saturday.

Police said they were called around 7:20 p.m. to 5th Avenue and 16th Street SE for a report of five shots being fired.

When officers arrived to find two houses in the 500 block of 16th St SE had been hit but no one was found to be injured.

The shooting remains under investigation at this time by the Cedar Rapids Police Department.

This makes the fourth report of gunfire in the last two days in Cedar Rapids.
