Johnson and Johnson facing multiple investigations

(NBC)—Johnson and Johnson is facing multiple charges over whether its baby powders have had an asbestos element that could be linked to cancer.

The company has always denied that, but today the SEC, the Department of Justice, and a Senate Committee are launching investigations. That comes after reporting in December that Reuters that found internal company documents suggesting it knew of an asbestos link way back in the 1970s through the early 2000s and failed to act.

13,000 people have filed suit , the company has already lost many of those suits.
