Daily Record Snow

Well. It’s been a snowy February. Waterloo has officially broken today’s snowfall record. This is the amount as of noon.

The storm total was 8.1″, 0.5″ Saturday night and 7.6″ Sunday. Waterloo has only ever seen 11 day of 6″ or more of snowfall in February since records began in 1895.

Waterloo now has inched (pun intended) into the 2nd snowiest February on record. Waterloo’s February snowfall total is 21.7″ (so far). The record snowfall for the month of February in Waterloo is 24.3″ in 1962. However, there is accumulating snow in the forecast for Wednesday that may very well push Waterloo over that record. Stay tuned….
