The snow has finally stopped falling and most has stopped blowing for a little while. However, winter isn’t done with us yet. It will be cooler than normal today despite mostly sunny skies.
Temperatures may continue to rise through the night and into Thursday morning. We will be in the 30s around Noon… but a strong cold front will track through and temperatures will begin to drop. A few flurries or stray snow showers may be squeezed out, too, but there will be little to no accumulation.
Winds will also pick up as that front tracks through the KWWL viewing area and turns the wind direction to the northwest. That will bring falling wind chills, as well. Blowing snow may occur through the afternoon.
Temperatures will be cold as we head into the weekend.
Another storm system will track through the Midwest on Sunday bringing more snow to the area. The track will determine how much we end up with, but right now it looks like we will see accumulation. Stay tuned for updates on KWWL and KWWL.com.
