No injuries after Iowa school bus is struck by train

WOODBURY COUNTY, Iowa. (KWWL) – Woodbury County deputies were called to a report of a school bus that had been struck by a Union Pacific train.

The collision happened on 275th St.

Woodburry County Sheriff’s Office posted to their Facebook page saying a Westwood Community School District bus was crossing the tracks when it stalled.

The driver of the bus and one passenger safely got out before the train hit the bus.

The bus was struck near the rear-end and spun around 180 degrees.

No injuries were reported.
