TRACKING: Winter Storm Warning

Winter Storm Warning continues through this evening for snow and blowing snow.  Once the snow stops, the impacts will continue as gusty northwest winds blow the fresh snow around.  Click here for a list of snowfall totals.

Scattered snow showers will continue throughout the day, especially this morning.  Visibility will be reduced, so be sure to use your headlights.  Additional accumulations up to an inch possible  Winds will be northwest 15-25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph at times, adding to the hazardous travel conditions. Temperatures hold steady in the 20s.

The wind will remain on the breezy side tonight with decreasing clouds.  Patchy blowing snow is possible, especially early on.  Lows drop into the single digits with a northwest wind 10-20 mph.

Wednesday will be a quieter day across eastern Iowa with plenty of sunshine.  It will be cold with high temperatures in the lower 20s.  Thursday will be cloudy and a little more seasonable with highs around 30°.  There is a slight chance for a few snow showers late Thursday into Friday.  Behind that, colder temperatures are expected with highs in the teens Friday.

We are tracking a slight chance of light snow Sunday, with cold temperatures throughout the weekend into early next week.
