Big donation to Salvation Army Metal in the Kettle campaign

The Main Street Social Club of Cedar Falls  has been around for quite a while. And, while, few people really know about the mission of the club, several organizations have learned this club really knows how to help within the community. (Watch Jeff Gann present the check to KWWL for our Metal in the Kettle campaign with the Salvation Army.

Club members come from across the Cedar Valley and meet only four or five times a year in very informal social settings to help raise money for deserving local charities and organizations.

This week, the Main Street Social Club donated $2,000 to four local organizations, including the Salvation Army, the Northeast Iowa Food Bank, the House of Hope and Adopt-A-Family.

Jeff Gann, longtime Club President, stopped by the KWWL studio this week to present a $500.00 check/donation to KWWL’s Metal in the Kettle Campaign, a KWWL partnership with the Salvation Army of Waterloo Cedar Falls.

With these latest gifts, the Main Street Social Club has now donated $91,293 to various non-profits in the Cedar Valley over the years.
