Toilet flushing system recalled due to explosion risks

More than a million Flushmate flushing system units have been recalled due to “impact and laceration hazards”.

In the United States, more than 1.4 million systems had been sold. So far, Flushmate has received more than 1,400 reports of the unites bursting which resulted in property damage and injuries.

It’s recommended that consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Flushmate systems, turn off the water supply and then flush the toilet to release the internal pressure.

Consumers should contact Flushmate to request a free replacement unit and installation by a technician.
