UNI AD urges football fans to pack the dome for NDSU

University of Northern Athletics Director David Harris is Panther football fans to come out in big numbers this Saturday for UNI’s big game with top ranked North Dakota State.

UNI is looking for its first win over the Bison since 2014 when the Panthers beat NDSU 23-3 at the UNI-Dome.  Harris talked about giving the Panthers a true home field advantage.

David Harris UNI AD, “We want the dome to be filled but we want it to be Purple and Gold not Green and Gold–we don’t want them to come over and have a home field advantage in our own arena–that can’t happen. That is not what we want to have happen but they do travel well no matter where the games are –whether they are coming to our place or going somewhere else. They have a reputation for bringing a ton of fans with them–that is fine we understand that and we want to be hospital to their fans when they come and treat them in a first class way–But once the game is kicked off we want that to be a completely different scenario.”

UNI and NDSU meet Saturday at 1pm.
