UNI Football prepares for a tough Indiana State team on a short week

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) – The UNI Panthers bounced back last week picking up their first win of the season— beating Hampton 44-0 on Hall of Fame weekend at the UNI-Dome.

UNI obviously was impressive on both sides of the football in scoring 44 points and pitching a shutout.

Now the Panthers visit a high scoring Indiana State team on an extremely short work week…

Along with a very short preparation— head coach Mark Farley says–the Panthers will be facing a Sycamore team that is much improved from the squad UNI beat 41 to 3 last year.

Mark Farley says, “Indiana State is really playing well–they played Louisville they were 7-7 at the half and that was the one that got shut down because of lightning they were 7-7 at the half before they had to sit around the locker room and took so long to come back out put up 52 on Eastern Illinois at Eastern Illinois I thought it was at Indiana State it was at Eastern Illinois and did down there and did a number on them so they have come a long way in 12 months or six months it is not the same team we played last season I promise you that.”
