Chick-Fil-A is taking part in supporting the Waterloo Multiple Sclerosis Support Group by giving a percentage of all meal purchases on the evening of Monday, August 20
From 5 to 8:00 p.m. at Chick-Fil-A (1331 Flammang Dr., Waterloo), if a customer tells the cashier they are there to support MS, the restaurant will donate a percentage of meal purchases during that three-hour span to help fund the 2019 MS Walk, which will be held on the UNI campus.
According to nationalmssociety.org, multiple sclerosis (MS) is "an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body." Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, and the disease affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide.
As part of the evening, members of the MS support group will greet people and run a coupon spinning wheel. For a $1 donation, you can spin the wheel and possibly earn a great prize.
